More about suSTAINED
My journey into sustainable fashion is deeply rooted in the vibrant summers I spent in Fiji, where I engaged in humanitarian work that transformed my approach to design. During these incredible months, I had the privilege of teaching local women how to sew, but what I received in return was far more invaluable. These inspiring women introduced me to the art of weaving palm leaves, a skill passed down through generations. This craft became more than just a technique—it became a symbol of resilience, community, and the beauty of creating something meaningful from nature's bounty.
Driven by the desire to honor these lessons and the spirit of sustainability, I began experimenting with ways to merge these influences with contemporary fashion. The result is a collection of fully fashioned wovens and knits that are not only aesthetically captivating but also carry a story of care, time, and cultural connection. Each piece is meticulously crafted to embody a sense of freedom and rustic elegance, reflecting the serene landscapes and rich traditions of Fiji.
At the heart of my work is a commitment to sustainability, innovation, and individuality. Every garment is designed to be one of a kind, thoughtfully made with materials and processes that respect both the environment and the heritage from which they draw inspiration. My collection is a celebration of the slow, intentional creation that stands in contrast to the fast-paced world of fashion, offering pieces that are meant to be cherished and passed down
